Information

Some customers who are acquired by Rapyd are currently experiencing connection errors on their terminals due to a sync issue that arose from an incident yesterday. To restore connectivity, please perform a mac key reset on your terminal.

You need to perform all of the steps below in order to reset each of your terminals.

For TMS terminals:

IMPORTANT - before you start, perform EOD banking to check there are no stored transactions as they will be lost once the mac key is reset.

  1. Press the MENU key twice
  2. Select SUPERVISOR
  3. Key in the Supervisor password (default 01483) then press OK
  4. Select PASSWORD
  5. Select MAC RESET
  6. Select either ALL Acquirers, or a Single Acquirer. (If ‘Single’ was selected, choose the acquirer(s) that require the MAC reset from the displayed options)
  7. Select ‘Yes’ or the Green button to confirm this request
  8. A MAC Reset report will print out. Confirm that the report shows ‘No Transactions Stored RESET OK’ followed by ‘REPORT COMPLETE’

For GEMS terminals:

Same as above, check for stored transactions by completing EOD banking.

  1. Press the MENU Key twice to enter the SYSTEM MENU
  2. Using the arrow keys scroll down to highlight the SELECT FUNCTION option and press ENTER
  3. The terminal will prompt ‘Key In Function Code’, key in 32 and press ENTER
  4. The terminal will prompt ‘EFT Reset Mac Key?’, press ENTER
  5. Enter supervisor password/supervisor card
  6. If there is more than one Acquirer, you will have the option to select the one you wish to reset. Press Enter on ‘ALL’ to reset all the acquirers, or scroll down to ‘SINGLE’ and press Enter for only one individual acquirer
  7. If choosing Single Acquirer, the terminal will display the first Acquirer (in alphabetical order), at the ‘Reset Mac Key?’ prompt, press ENTER to reset or use the down arrow to select NO and it will move onto the next Acquirer
